The Fire-Dex® H41 Interceptor with STEDAIR® Prevent offers advanced protection with its STEDAIR® Prevent technology, providing superior breathability, comfort, and durability for firefighters.
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Prior to the Fluorescent Aerosol Screening Test (FAST) in 2015, traditional hoods were built solely for heat and flame protection. We quickly learned that carcinogen exposure reduction was necessary to help sustain the future of first responder health and safety. In response, we added particulate-blocking hoods into our portfolio as the latest in the fight against fire ground hazards.
The H41 Interceptor hood with STEDAIR® PREVENT is designed to help mitigate your exposure risk and minimize heat retention, a common complication found in many particulate barrier hoods on today’s market.
Materials that make the difference
The H41 Interceptor® hood with STEDAIR® PREVENT features barrier technology that is carried throughout the entire hood including the neck, ears, jaw line, side and top of the head, as well as the SCBA interface and bib. This 2-layer particulate blocking hood features an outer layer of 8oz Nomex®/Lenzing (20%/80%) and an inner layer of STEDAIR® PREVENT.
High Filteration Efficiency
Provides 99.9% filtration efficiency for particle size ranging from 0.1 -1.0 microns and maintains that efficiency even after 100 washes!
High Air Permeability
Superior air permeability of at least 10 CFM (as tested to ASTM DS37).
